My Gramma Jeanne's recipe, enjoy!
Combine dry ingredients for dough, then wet ingredients, then mix together.
Separate into 6 balls. Roll out each and put a cored apple in the middle. Place butter and a bit of the cinnamon sugar into the center of the apple and cover in dough. Place the dumplings into a baking dish. Sprinkle the last of the cinnamon sugar on top.
Combine ingredients for syrup in a bowl. Pour over the top of the dumplings.
Bake at 350° for 45 min or until golden brown.
