  • 2 tablespoons
    butter
  • 2 tablespoons
    Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup
    brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup
    maple syrup, pure
  • ¼ cup
    apple cider
  • 1
    red onion, medium, chopped
  • 2
    apples, large, halved and cored
  • 2 tablespoons
    fresh thyme, chopped, plus sprigs for garnish
  • sea salt
  • black pepper, freshly ground

Preparation

  1. Eh, this one stay mainland style but still ono. Butter up one large baking dish and arrange da pork chops and apple halves side by side. No worries if they fit tight.

  2. Mix da maple syrup, brown sugar, Dijon, and cider together until you get one thick, sludgy paste. Spread this all over da chops and apples real good. (Da paste should be thick enough to stick, not too runny)

  3. 30 mins

    Let everything rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Good time fo' prep your sides or catch up on texts.

  4. Crank da oven to 450°F. Sprinkle da chopped onion over everything, then lay some thyme sprigs on top. Season with plenty salt and pepper.

  5. 45 mins

    Bake for 45-60 minutes until da chops stay cooked through and da apples all soft and golden. Everything should look all glazed and sticky.

  6. If you like extra caramelized, throw um under da broiler for couple minutes at da end. Watch close so no burn.

  7. Serve each person one chop with half apple and spoon some of dat sticky glaze on top. Garnish with fresh thyme.
