1. Soak idly rice& raw rice together and urad dal separate for min 4hrs
2. First wash the grinder.
3. Switch on the grinder & pour some water & add urad dal grind it for 20 minutes if want add some water
4. Take the batter in box then pour water & add washed rice and allow it to grid for 20 to 30 min
5. Collect the batter in same box, mix both the batter well . keep the batter out side (don't keep in fridge) for min 6 hrs, after that keep it in fridge
When u going to prepare dosa or idly take required quantity of batter, add salt for that quantity
