This is for 4 persons.
PREPARATION
1. Wash rice and Moong dal first.
2. Heat the cooker and pour 3 spoon ghee and fry cashew till brown and keep aside.
3. Now pour oil 3 or 4 spoon heat for 1 min at medium flame
4. Put hing, coriander leaves, pepper, jeera &stir for 1 min
5. Put rice, dal, salt & mix all (put small quantity salt first )
6. Add water 1:2 ratio( ie rice+dal 2 3/4: water 6) & stir it well
7. Now taste the water& feel salt level if need add some more salt
8. Close the cooker & put wait. ( TBD: Convert to instant pot values )
9. After 5-6 whistle switch off the stove
10. After 5-8 mins open the cooker & add cashew, 2 spoon ghee & mix it as well as smash the rice then only u will get pongal in good condition other wise it looks like rice.
