JFK's famous waffle recipe

Ingredients
- ½ cupbutter
- 1 tablespoonsugar
- 2egg yolks
- ⅞ cupmilk, or 1C buttermilk
- 1 cupsifted cake flour, + 1 Tablespoon
- 1 pinchsalt
- 2egg whites, (stiff / beaten)
- 4 teaspoonsbaking soda

Preparation
cream butter and sugar
add egg yolks - beat
add milk and flour - alternating
When ready to bake, fold in egg whites and add baking soda

serve with hot syrup and butter
