Preparation

  1. Get your pasta water boiling. Cook fettuccine according to the box.

  2. Heat a big skillet over medium-high. No oil needed — sausage has plenty of fat.

  3. Add sausage, pepper, and onion to the hot skillet. Sprinkle blackening seasoning over everything.

  4. 8 mins

Cook until sausage browns and vegetables soften, about 8 minutes. Stir it around so the seasoning doesn't burn. (If your skillet gets too hot and the spices start smoking, back off the heat some.)

  5. Pour in alfredo sauce and hot sauce. Turn heat to medium and let it bubble gently until heated through.

  6. Drain pasta and dump it right into the skillet. Toss everything together until the noodles are coated.

  7. Serve it up hot.
