Strawberry Bulleit Cocktail

A delightful, refreshing cocktail. Inspired by the cocktail of the same name at Bourbon Steak in Scottsdale, AZ.
Ingredients
- 3strawberries, sliced
- 3basil leaves
- .5 ounces
- 2 ouncesbourbon, Bulleit
- .75 ounceslemon juice
- ice
- 1strawberry, whole optional

Preparation

In a shaker tin, muddle sliced strawberries with simple syrup until fully mashed.
- 45 secs
Add the bourbon and lemon juice to the shaker tin, and fill with ice. Shake for 45 seconds.
Strain into ice-filled rocks glass.

Cut a wedge out of the remaining strawberry and place on rim of glass for garnish.
